The 3rd edition of the Volcom banked slalom at Kitzsteinhorn was another one for the books! It all started with a good snow dump before the weekend that made shapers shovel extra hard, but also stoked out some early arrival competitors with some powder turns. It continued with two consecutive days of sunshine, allowing everyone to shred the snowparks in between race runs with the best conditions you could get. This year's course was again just over 1min, so legs, hearts and breath were reasonably tested, but depending on your finish time your ego could be severely tested, especially if you're a seasoned guide from Chamonix or a quad-corking park ripper and you get beaten by a 17 year old girl, which can happen in this kind of event. Some legends and pros were on the start list along with locals, speed freaks from all over Europe and snowboarding enthusiasts which made for a great mix of people and a great weekend!
