Pioneered by portly Canadian vert skateboarder Blair Watson, a slob is essentially a mute grab done frontside. Mute grabs involve the same hand, on the same part of the board, yet the rider is rotating backside. Much like the frontside air and Indy grab, snowboarders have misused these terms for over two decades, referring to all versions of this grab as a mute.
