Men's Rider of the Year: Louif Paradis
The Men's Rider of the Year is far and away the highest honor that one can be given every year in our sport, and if you've seen Louif Paradis's newest project, Beacon, then you probably knew he was going to win this award long before you read this post. Finally, Louif gets the recognition that he has always deserved, because for the last decade, the dude has literally re-written the book on urban snowboarding. In Beacon, Louif and famed filmmaker Hayden Rensch concepted a plan to make a snowboard film devoid of artificial speed and instead, turned the in-run of every feature they hit into a feature in and of itself. The result is a cinematic masterpiece that showcases Louif's riding like never before, and we're proud to announce that Lou's efforts have earned him the honor of Men's Rider of the Year for the first time in his long and illustrious career.
