DC Snowboarding L’Invasion 2015

When you bring together 100 people including the Global DC snowboarding team, a large group of key retailers from around the world, and the main snowboarding media for a week of snowboarding and partying in the French Alps, you get L’INVASION 2015.

The setting was Méribel, a beautiful resort deep in the French Alps, part of ‘Les Trois Vallées’ the largest ski area in the world, with over 180 lifts, and 335 runs. The area includes the resorts of Courchevel, La Tania, Méribel, Les Menuires-Saint Martin, Val Thorens and Orelle.

Méribel is as famous for its après partying as it is for its endless terrain. Here DC sponsors the snowboard park called Area 43, and also has a custom chalet, reminiscent of the original Mountain Lab in Park City, where team and retailers can come visit throughout the season to test out the new line.

DC riders that made the trip included Devun Walsh, Anto Chamberland, Iikka Backstrom, Ryan Tiene, Justin Fronius, Mat Schaer, Mons Roisland, Sebbe De Buck, Alex Stewart, Marc Salas, Rachida Aoulad, and Piotr Janosz.

The first annual L’Invasion made a lot of noise, and I’m sure the legend will grow, returning even bigger and better the next season. Thanks Bobby, Jon, Thomas, Julien, Cyril, and everyone else for great times.
