The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association’s Center of Excellence Grand Opening

The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association's Center of Excellence is an historical achievement for Olympic sports in America. Located in Park City, Utah and constructed on 85,000 square feet spread out on three different floors, the Center of Excellence is a state-of-the-art training and education as well as physical rehabilitation facility designed to serve the USSA's athletes with world class support through sport science, sports medicine, education and program management. Additionally, the Center of Excellence provides educational resources and best practices extending to over 400 club programs across the country.

The national center is designed to bring the sport together as a Team and will be an international showcase for American skiing and snowboarding.

The hub of fast-pace action in the Center of Excellence is the Ramps and Tramps area alongside the Gymnasium. The elite training site features ramps to soar and tramps to bounce, which are vital to Olympic success in freestyle, snowboarding and other on-the-edge action sports. It's a fn hangout to watch the high-flying action, but also a unique training tool to help athletes be the best in the world in some of the most cutting edge Olympic sports.

"The pride and joy of the building is the tramps and ramps back there because it really facilitates our body awareness training. There aren't many places especially for Snowboard Cross athletes that we can train on hill, let alone off hill. So these special features really allow us some unique training that we can't find elsewhere.”
