Spring Chaos: Loon & Eastern Boarder Host LAST CALL Event

Loon Mountain resort and east coast super-shop, Eastern Boarder hosted the 9th Annual LAST CALL event on March 25th   in New Hampshire's White Mountains. After the long week of the US Open, the World Quarters, Back To The Boneyard, and all the other event mayhem, New Hampshire locals were primed for the annual spring blowout at Loon. Props to the SPT-led park crew at Loon who put together another incredible contest course for the LAST CALL this year.  EB's Andy Bub worked with Loon park crews to design some of the obstacle zones. There was a step-down leading into a standard, medium-sized park kicker. A bunch of rails.  Some sorta weird tranny taco … There was crazy hip-gap-jib thingy (see pics) that got sessioned pretty hard: full tranny-fest!

Cheylone Miller horrified all onlookers with his antics over the nasty gap. He managed to gap it spinning, body check the knuckle, then grab mid-tumble and land on his feet. Never even a hint of hesitation in Miller's attack.  Lots of the east coast rippers showed up: Yale Cousino, Pat Moore, Scotty Lago, Monkey Fairy, Eric Kovall, Earl Dog, Baby Goats was there. Colleen Quigley was cruising thru the course, as were many a Waterville rat. Lots of adult sport drinks in the woods, lots of sun, a huge wallride. Good stuff goin' down on the East Coast.  As usual, the scene back here seems alive and well if just a little bit grungier than where you live. Think anyone cares? Me neither. Props to Shaun Murphy from Vermont who won the Last Call by hammering all obstacles and spinning like hell. He got about $1600 and some product. Probably got a free ticket, a couple beers, and a hot dog of the grill, too. Extra props to all the unsung shredders and rake-wielding park crew who made this thing go off for the 9th time! Hey, Spring has sprung.
