Salomon Snowboards and Sierra at Tahoe announced today the dates for their United Series #2 event, scheduled for March 19th. The left-coast slopestyle event will give riders the opportunity to win $10,000 cash, several Apple Shuffles, and two much-coveted qualifying invitations to the 2006 Honda Sessions event held in Vail.

The top male and female rider will automatically qualify for the 2006 Vail Sessions, voted by Transworld as one of the top five global contests. The United Series events are the only contests bridging the gap between amateur and professional competition. By granting the winner of each event a wildcard entry into the prestigious Vail Sessions Event, the United Series provides the fastest trajectory path for aspiring riders to enter the professional arena and compete against established pros such as Scotty Arnold, Josh Dirksen and Shaun White.

“We are super happy to be having this event at Sierra at Tahoe, says Salomon’s Kale Gray. “Not only do they have an amazing park and tons of snow this year, but there are tons of talented rider’s in California that are going to get a chance to show the industry what they got.

Participants will be allowed two runs down the slopestyle course, with the best run score kept. Helmets are required for competition. Spaces will be limited to 80 males and 50 females. Registration begins at 8:30 at Sierra-at-Tahoe. A $50 registration fee includes a lift ticket, $30 for passholders.
