JJ Thomas Wins Icer Air in the Streets of San Francisco

San Francisco, California—An estimated crowd of over 10,000 people witnessed 2002 Olympic Bronze medalist, JJ Thomas throw down a huge Corked Backside 720 Japan Air en route to taking the win in the inaugural stateside Icer Air. “This was the most people I’ve ridden in front of since the Olympics. It was crazy jumping in 8o degree weather in a city landscape with all those people screaming….I had a blast said an ecstatic JJ. Thomas not only took home the winning prize money but also a brand new Jeep.

Thomas is coming fresh off a win at the Australian Icer Air where he won the Style Wars slopestyle event. In addition to the contest wins, JJ has been receiving rave reviews for his riding in Oakley’s new film “Community Project. “I was super happy with my riding in the movie remarked JJ, adding that “everybody knows me as a pipe guy, so I’m glad I got to show everyone that I can ride other terrain. With two recent contest wins and a marquee part in the latest snowboarding movie, JJ is definitely the man to watch!
