Whistler/Blackcomb had one hell of an opening day as it dumped over two feet in the last week, which created all-time conditions for first turns of the season at the Canadian resort. Throngs of eager riders suited up and set out to pillage all the pow they could, with many riders claiming it was one of the deepest opening days they've ever experienced.

Robin Van Gyn, Whistler local and professional powder hound, couldn't believe how much snow there was and said it could have been the best opening day ever. She took to her ‘gram and posted pictures and videos of getting pitted with fellow snowboarder, Austin Sweetin.

The Whistler forecast continues to tread positively and it’s supposed to continue stack up throughout this week. ¬†With all of this snow falling, it’s a good reminder to be prepared and careful as conditions can be dangerous.
