KAMLOOPS, BC — Snowy weather and a sub-par halfpipe did little to slow down the U.S. Men’s Snowboard Team as they swept all three podium spots at Sun Peaks Resort on Sunday. Zach Horwitz (Aspen, CO) conquered the slow conditions to take first place with 76.3 points. Dan Smith (Evergreen, CO) took second with 75.6 points and Rob Kingwill (Jackson, WY) finished third with 75.2 points.

Annemarie Uliasz (Huntington Beach, CA), who continues to perform consistently, led the U.S. women with a strong third place finish. Lori Glazier (Oshawa, ONT) placed first with Carolien Van Kilsdonk (NED) taking third place.

Other U.S. riders in the top ten: Ross Powers (South Londonderry, VT) 5th and Dustin Del Guidice (Mammoth Lakes, CA) 9th. Cammie Potter (Park City, UT) finished 7th with Lynn Ott (Bend, OR) 9th and Stacia Hookum (Edwards, CO) 10th. The North American Leg of the FIS Grundig Snowboard World Cup moves to Boreal Ridge, CA on March 7 where competition gets underway with the giant slalom.
