If you went to Cancun, you blew it. Tahoe is going off right now. The weather is perfect… as in; the snow has piled up (hell, it’s DUMPING right now). The parks were dialed. They’ll be dug out soon. And the list of events is impressive. If you think the season is over, think again…. then you might want to pack up your bags and head to Tahoe.

Heavenly kicked things off this past weekend with their SpringLoaded event schedule. South Shore saw the 'I Am Snowboarding’ art exhibit flash through town and Salomon roll the Backyard Bang rail jam into the parking lot. Then Kandi Coded and Thrice kicked off the night and DJ Greyboy closed it down with mellow beats.

Alpine Meadows hosted their first ever AM Triple Air Open. Twelve Gs were up for grabs and many, not-so-AM moves went down. Sam Hulbert, Seth Hill and Danny Tourmarkine linked up huge 9s and 10s to snag the top three spots.

Over at Sierra, Rome’s Stoken event and the Highlander the Jibbening contest got things going. It was sunny, slushy and the pipe was perfect.

That was a taste of the Tahoe basin. Below is a quick list of events. It’s dumping as I type this and winter extending its stay.
