3rd annual Snowboard on the Block : Full Video & Photo Recap
That’s a wrap for the 3rd annual Snowboard on the Block festival! We of course were there to hit the scene, along with many of the riders from our own Origins movie, including Kimmy Fasani, Jeremy Cloutier, Frank Bourgeois, and Victor De Le Rue. In order to properly get a feel for the festival, we had our own Eddie Wall make the rounds and get an idea of what the vibe was like. Without getting more than fifty feet into the venue, he ran into Lucas Magoon, Bjorn Leines, and Marc Frank Montoya. With a bevy of activities available to partake in, there was always something to see or do. The Van Doren Off the Wall Pro Jam secured most of the attention in the earlier hours with the riding styles of Scotty Vine, Jesse Paul, Nial Romanek, and Dylan Alito. Alito ended up walking away with the top spot and became $2,000 richer. The latest and greatest snowboard films played around the clock as well. The Nightmare crew absolutely packed out the TransWorld SNOWboarding theater with their full length offering, which was quickly followed up by Celtek’s Bucket List, Absinthe’s Eversince, and our very own premiere of Origins. We could go on and on about all the brands who came out, including Hobo Headwear, Never Summer, Zeal, Arbor, Von Zipper, and many more, making the sponsor village the spot to be. In addition to all of the snowboarding festivities, there were plenty of musical acts to enjoy, namely Trinidad James and, what seemed to be the crowd favorite, Suicidal Tendencies. All in all, it’s one of those things that you’ve got to see to understand, so give the full recap video a watch and see what went down this year in Denver. See you next time.
