Sims Snowboards has added a new team rider and will be releasing several new pro models for early fall release.
The company recently added Jason Murphy to its team, says Sims VP of Marketing Travis Wood. Murphy was on a religious mission for the last two years and has now returned to snowboarding. He’s been filming with Whitey to have a part in the new Destroyer video due out in the fall. He has also been sponsored by DC, Dragon, and Foursquare Clothing.
In related news, Sims will be releasing new pro models including Marc Frank Montoya, Kurt Wastell, and Brian Thien boards in the fall. All will be sized in the 150-160 range. “These are a preview of where Sims is going,” says Wood.
Sims has started to move into its new Southern California offices, and will be adding more staff in the near future.
The brand is also sponsoring both Whity’s and Mack Dawg’s films that will come out this fall and the team will be making a late summer/early fall shop tour to aid and support sales.
