VELVET Eyewear and Shannon Dunn have formed a long-term partnership focused on co-development of highly specialized, technically advanced eyewear designed for female riders.
The initial project: the “Flurry” snowgoggle, will be introduced at the S.I.A.show in march and available for October in store delivery. Patented advancements include an exclusive spherical lens, high pressure/low pressure air management system designed to eliminate fogging, variable flow intake filters for a varying weather conditions, and a multi-density foam seal for ultimate comfort and moisture suppression.
Shannon’s insights and expertise have also been utilized in the development of a sport inspired VELVET sunglasscollection to compliment a highly stylized fashion collection first introduced at the most recent ASR show in San Diego. a total of twelve designs bring a versatility of style, fit and function to the collection. Advertising and promotional support will include commitments to TransWorld SNOWboarding, Surfing Girl, Wahine and Jump magazines throughout the year2000.
Surfers, Veronica Kay, Erin Edwards and Crissie Miller have joined the VELVET team and will complement a professional team to be announced shortly. Global distribution of the VELVET brand will include only the best, core independent action sport retailers.
