Ride Signs Derek Heidt to Pro Team

VASHON, WASHINGTON (Jan. 3, 2001) – Ride Snowboards would like to welcomethe newest edition to their pro team, Derek Heidt of Whistler, BritishColumbia.

Derek has an extensive background and list of accomplishments insnowboarding including representing the Canadian national team in the NaganoOlympics, worldwide coverage through his participation in the Crystal Awardswith photographer Eric Berger, and filming with Tree Top Films for thisyear’s video “Second Wind.”

Heidt is also sponsored by Oakley optics and clothing, and Ford Trucks.This year, he will be working closely with Ford on R&D for new sportvehicles.

“I’m extremely excited to be on with Ride,” says Heidt. “To me they’vealways led the way with sick boards with fusion bases and unique bindings -plus they’re right next door to B.C. I’m amped for the seasons ahead!”
