Laguna Beach, CA – January 22, 2003 – Propaganda Headquarters, Inc., the youth lifestyle and action sports marketing firm, announced today that Mark Sperling has been named Vice President by the company’s founder and President, Vipe Desai. In this role, Sperling will lead new business development, direct project and client initiatives, facilitate agency growth, and oversee staffing needs.

With 15 years of marketing, promotions, public relations, and special events experience in the action sports, music, and apparel industries, Sperling most recently oversaw marketing for Tony Hawk’s Boom Boom HuckJam 2002 tour and was Events/Marketing Director for Primedia’s Action Sports Group, publisher of Surfer, Skateboarder, and Snowboarder magazines. Previously, he worked at Split Clothing, Inc. for nearly four years as the apparel company’ s Worldwide Marketing and Promotions Director. Sperling has also held the positions of National Publicity and Promotions Manager for Hard Rock Café and Special Events Manager for Transworld Media, where he was instrumental in launching the Vans Triple Crown of Skateboarding and Board AID. Additionally, he has worked extensively in the music industry, having toured with Lollapalooza as an event coordinator.
