Park City Hosts World Superpipe Championships

PARK CITY, UT (February 6, 2004) — Park City Mountain Resort welcomes the top snowboarders back to compete for the 2004 World Superpipe Championships. Olympians Kelly Clarke and Ross Powers return to the Eagle Superpipe, home of the 2002 Winter Games, to compete for the $90,000 purse, one of the top in the industry.

On Saturday, February 21 Clark will be joined in the pipe by teenage superstar Hannah Teter, winner of the Chevy Truck Grand Prix in December, and a strong international contingency including last year’s runner-up Stine Brun Kjeldaas (Norway).

The weekend of competition will culminate on Saturday afternoon as Powers vies for the title against last year’s winner Gian Simmen (Switzerland). They will be joined by Teter’s brothers Abe and Elijah, as well as Chevy Truck Grand Prix Champion Andy Finch.

Admission is free. For a complete schedule of events and information, visit Park City Mountain Resort’s website at
