The Night of Feb 26th was a perfectly snowy and cold night to debut the first ever Oakley Big Night Out at Copper Mountain Colorado.Wookie Flemming and the Copper Mountain Park Crew built a San Francisco street course complete with curbs switchbacks, wall rides, down tables, rails, boxes and a vert cone to complete the run.
Over 90 riders came out for the comp that started at 4:30pm and finished at 10:00 pm under the lights. Junior, Advanced and Shop Pro’s competed for over $3,000 in cash and prizes. With the War Wagon towing in the fire pit and the mobile showroom in place, the Oakley Colorado Crew grilled dogs for the kiddies before their heat. A special thanks goes out to Coors Light for the refreshments.
As the sun set, the crowd grew and the riders settled in for a sick session of shred. Even the decks of the restaurants and condos were filled with spectators. In the end, it was about having fun--and fun was had by all.
