Nitro Names Tonino Copene Team Manager

Nitro Snowboards is pleased to announce that Tonino Copene has accepted the position of Team Manager. With tons of experience in the snowboard world as a rider, coach, course designer, and R&D guy, it was a natural progression for both Mr. Copene and Nitro. Tonino first started riding for Nitro in 1995, and since that time he has worked closely with Designer Mike Dawson, helping with the progression of popular boards like the Shadow and Titan. He has also contributed to the boot and binding R&D as well. For 03 he helped design a bad ass, high-end free riding boot, the Punisher.

In addition to being a member of Nitro, Tonino has worked for years at High Cascade Snowboard Camp, and is probably best known there as the on-hill manager for the last two seasons. Not only has he seen the best of the best come through hood every season and huck themselves, Tonino has put in a lot of time with all levels of riders and campers over the seasons, keeping him in touch with what is going on in snowboarding. In addition, Tonino has also worked as a park and course designer for such notable competitions as the U.S. Open and the Olympics.

Nitro appreciates Tonino’s commitment to being part of Nitro for years. He brings a lot of positive energy and knowledge to the whole crew, and we wish him success as the team guy.
