Mont-Tremblant Reaches Deal With Staff, Adverts Strike

MONT-TREMBLANT, Quebec–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Dec. 21, 2000–Management of Mont-Tremblant Resort is pleased with the signing of an agreement-in-principle for the renewal of the collective agreement with the CSN union representing Mont-Tremblant workers (Syndicat des travailleuses et travailleurs de la Station Mont-Tremblant).

This agreement was reached Wednesday evening at approximately 7:00 P.M. (EST), following a period of intensive negotiations that lasted several days.

Union members will be asked to ratify this agreement-in-principle during a general meeting to be held Friday.

Activities will therefore continue as usual at Mont-Tremblant. Skiers and snowboarders will have access to 41 trails on Thursday. With the few centimetres of new snow that fell in the past few hours, trails will be covered with a mixture of natural and packed man-made snow. Snow coverage at the top of the mountain is 65 centimetres.
