Mervin Mfg. Hires New General Manager

Mervin Manufacturing welcomes Pete Morgan as the new General Manager. He will oversee the daily operations at Mervin Manufacturing beginning immediately and will report directly to Bill Bussiere, CFO of Quiksilver and overseer of all that is Mervin. His focus will be to help manage Mervin into the next level of growth. He will guide the highly creative fun loving staff who will continue to build the most technically advanced badass snowboards in the world.

“I believe Morgan brings the necessary finance, operations and IT skills to complete the management structure at Mervin”, comments Bussiere.

Relocating from Marin County, Pete brings a wealth of experience in running a growing company. Not at all a rookie in the action sports arena, he was formerly in charge of finance and operations at Rip Curl USA and Lost....

He was lured to western Washington partially by company founders Mike Olsen and Pete Saari, who promised to show him every good surf spot in the area. “I was really impressed with the crew at Mervin”, said Pete Morgan. “They are passionate about snowboarding and making the best boards in the business. I’m excited about working with this great team.”

While other companies continue to recruit executives from the highly lucrative in-line skate and running shoe industries, Mervin continues to seek proven winners from within the core sports business in order continually re-define what is authentic.
