Ladley, Karlinski Revolution HP Winners

Jackson, Wyoming—Colorado was rejoicing Saturday as Matt Ladley (Steamboat Springs, CO) and Jordan Karlinski (Snowmass Village, CO) picked up Chevrolet Revolution Tour halfpipe wins at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.

Ladley won with a score of 45.00 in his second of two runs. He was followed by Greg Bretz (Mammoth Lakes, CA) in second and Austen Butler (Ketchum, ID) in third.

Ladley was the only rider to score higher than a 40 all day. His winning run consisted of a backside air to a frontside 720 to a switch crippler to a frontside 900 to a backside 540 and finally a frontside 540.

“The pipe was really good,” said Ladley, who just turned 15 in January. “It was a little over vert and a lot of kids were landing flat, but it was still a lot of fun, it was a good pipe. It was fun to see all the kids and it was a great day. I’m happy for the weather, it held up good.”

Ladley is no stranger to the Revolution podium as he was second in pipe at Spirit Mountain back in early January.

Jackson local Mike Marohn (Casper, WY), who won Friday’s slopestyle, finished 28th.

Karlinski, who was second in Friday’s slopestyle event, won today with a score of 32.70 in her second run. Erica Montgomery (Tahoe City, CA) and Jennifer Cohen (Wayne, NJ) were second and third, respectively.

Karlinski’s been racking up some significant top three finishes this season. Aside from her two podiums at Jackson Hole, she has a first and a third in Paul Mitchell Progression Session slopestyle events.

A total of 52 men and 21 women competed.

The Jackson Hole stop of the Revolution Tour concludes Sunday with snowboardcross. The fourth and final venue for the circuit will be Windell’s Camp in Oregon, June 20-21.

In its second year, the Chevrolet Revolution Tour, managed by U.S. Snowboarding, is in place to bridge the gap between local-level competition and upper-level contests like the U.S. Snowboard Grand Prix, Vans Cup, U.S. Open and X-Games.
