Industrial Rideshop’s Sales Up 20%

Management Credits Growth to New Marketing Programs

Scottsdale, Arizona – Industrial Rideshops, the largest action sports retailer in the southwest, grew sales by 20% between May and July in spite of heavy competition and a leveling in skateboarding participation. Doug Butcher, company Co Founder and President, credits much of the increase to recent investments in the company’s marketing and promotional efforts.

In April of 2003, Industrial hired Transition Media, an action sports marketing consulting group, to rebuild the company’s marketing department from the ground up. The project involved Transition assessing all current marketing efforts, developing a series of marketing strategies in the areas of Public Relations, Promotions, Media, Branding, etc…and guiding the implementation of the programs company wide.

According to Butcher “Transition came in and learned Industrial’s business from top to bottom before developing and implementing programs to help us strengthen our brand and drive sales. Now, the results are speaking for themselves”

Industrial Rideshops, started in Arizona 1995, by Butcher and partner Kelly Berry, has grown from one store in Scottsdale, Az to eleven stores in three states by staying focused on Action Sports while delivering superior service, a deep and current product and brand selection and making wise location selections.

Transition Media is an action sports marketing group based in Az and Ca and started in 2001 by Cowtown Skateboards and founder, Joe Dunnigan. The agency focuses on marketing and business development solutions for action sports companies with a special focus on the areas of action sports retail, e commerce, branding and design.
