Hub360 and ASR Create Marketing Partnership

pAction Sports Retailer Signs Endorsement Agreement With hub360, Plans Special Seminars And Services At San Diego Trade Show

Action Sports Retailer has formed a strategic marketing partnership with hub360, the first on-line marketplace for the action sports industry. The two companies will be working together to provide retailers, sales reps and suppliers with an easier, faster, and more convenient way to do business.

For the first time ever, action sports retailers will be able to order on-line from a mix of supplier catalogs right at the show, or at their convenience.

“The guys who brought hub360 to life knows our industry ¿ and they have put it all together to help make life easier for the retailer,” says Steve “Lounge” Price, of Killer Dana Surf Shop. “It’s going to change the way people in our industry do business.”

ASR will be supplying hub360 with booth space and a seminar room to present retailers with the services available on hub’s on-line web site. The hub360 booth will be adjacent to ASR in the lobby of the Convention Center, just behind the Registration area. The seminars will be held in room 17 on the Mezzanine level, next to the SIMA hospitality suite. They will be presented all three days at 11, 2, and 4 PM.

As an on-line marketplace for the action sports industry, hub360 provides retailers the opportunity to see a variety of top brands in one convenient location. On hub360’s site the retailer can browse catalogs, place orders, check product availability and work with their sales reps quickly and efficiently at their own convenience.

The three principals in the business, President Dan McInerny, Sales Director Jimbo Gaskin, and Marketing Director Jim Kempton, all have extensive experience at Quiksilver, Billabong, and Transworld Publications respectively. “We see this as a truly valuable service where suppliers, reps and retailers can increase sales, reduce costs and improve margins”, says McInerny. “It is a simple technology tool to make better business decisions.” Over 50 of the leading action sports retailers in the country have signed on to use the marketplace services, and a variety of the top brands have put their catalogs on the site. The hub360 Industry Network is the result of 18 months of research and development, consolidating the requirements of retailers, manufacturers, sales representatives, and various industry organizations including SIMA, the Surf Industry Manufacturers Association.
