Game Over: Mega Man X Collection

PS2, GameCube

Overview: Mega Man X and his robot partner, Zero and Dr. Light intercept a mechanical army and try to stop them from destroying the world.

Game Modes: 1-2 players

Gameplay: The first Mega Man was released back in 1993 and since then there have been five additions. All six are on this game, including the U.S. debut of Mega Man Battle and Chase, which is the only Mega ManI racing game ever created. I appreciate its history, but I’m not impressed with the game. As Mega Man X your mission is to annihilate an army of robots called reploids. It sounds exciting, but this game is full of fluff. Everything is colorful and the guns even make a delightful “pew pew sound, but there’s no personality or challenge. If you’re an experienced gamer and/or over the age of fourteen I suggest you move to the big kids section.

Graphics: Bubblegum and soda pop.

Sound: Casio keyboard.

Overall Rating: 5 (out of 10)
