Forum Youngblood At Mountain Creek

VERNON, N.J., February 25, 2003 ? Forum YoungBlood, one of the freshest snowboard competitions around, is coming to Mountain Creek in Vernon, N.J., on Saturday, March 1. All competitors are sure to have their eye on the top prize?a trip to Big Bear, CA, for the YoungBlood Series Final on March 22, where they will ride in front of the Forum Snowboard Team.

Only the nation?s best will make it to Big Bear to compete before Forum team members and try for their chance to join Forum riders like JP Walker, Devun Walsh and Chad Otterstrom. The overall national champion?the best of the best?may be provided with a Forum YoungBlood contract and an appearance in ?Video Gangs,? Forum?s new team movie premiering August 8, 2003. In addition, the overall winner of the Series Final will receive a free session to High Cascade Snowboard Camp.

Only 65 boarders, split into ?14 and under? and ?15 and over? age categories, will have the opportunity to ride in this Slopestyle contest, competing for out-of-this-world prizes. On competition day, registration will be held from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the Mountain Express at Vernon Base, followed by practice from 9:15 to 9:45 a.m., two runs at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. and an awards ceremony at 3:00 p.m.

The Forum YoungBlood competitions are open to boarders of all ages and abilities free of charge (a $20 refundable bib deposit is required). Competitors that are not Mountain Creek season pass holders must also purchase a lift ticket. Product prizes, including a Forum YoungBlood 2003-2004 board, bindings and boots as well as full outerwear and soft goods, will be awarded to winners in each age group.
