The Ford Ranger North American Championships entry list reads like a “Who’s Who” of Snowboarding, including world renowned Snowboarders from across the globe. Shaun White will attempt to earn his first Vans Triple of Snowboarding title. In order to win the title he must win the Superpipe competition. Joining him as the ones to watch in the Men’s competition are Ross Powers and Todd Richards in Superpipe and Josh Dirksen and Marc Frank-Montoya will look to dominate the Big Air competition.

In the women’s division, Line Oestvold has already clinched the 2001 Vans Triple Crown of Snowboarding, but there will be plenty of competition for the first place prize money in the Superpipe and Big Air competitions. Natasza Zurek, who won the Superpipe competition at Snow Summit, and Stine Brun Kjeldaas are the favorites here at Sierra at Tahoe. While Tara Dakides, Dresden Howell and Lindsay Pugh are expected to be the women to beat in the Big Air competition.
