Tex Davenport “officially” signs on with the Glissade Team.
Chico, CA (February 25, 2000) ¿ After seven years of riding Glissade Longboards Mike “Tex” Davenport, one of snowboarding’s most respected big-mountain free riders has signed on to the Glissade Team with a pro model due out for the 2000 ¿ 2001 season.
As many people already know, Tex has been riding custom Glissade Longboards, screened with his sponsors logos, for the past seven years. However, after a fallout with his last sponsor, Tex turned to the company who had been building his boards.
Team Manager Adam Smith said, “The timing could not have been better as far as we were concerned. We’re in the process of consolidating and strengthening the company and Tex is a real asset to have riding our longboards both as a representative of the company as well as for the purposes of R & D.”
Look out for Tex’s signature pro model available in a 164 and 168 version in the 2000/2001 season and featuring the all new vibrathane topsheet. Booth no #1403 at SIA Vegas.
