Jack Wienert, Executive Director, ESPN Original Entertainment Events

Jack Wienert oversees all X Games-related properties (ESPN Original Entertainment Events) including X Games, Winter X Games, X Games Global Championship, International X Games (Asia and Latin America). Jack supervises an event team focused on staging, marketing and organizing the competitions for athletes and spectators. He works closely with local officials and all departments at ESPN, including remote production to maximize the event’s success. Jack joined ESPN in 1994 and has served as executive director for the X Games events and Great Outdoor Games, beginning with the inaugural X Games (then called Extreme Games) event held in 1995.

John Temple, President, Publisher & Editor, Rocky Mountain News

John Temple is in his sixth year as editor of Colorado’s oldest daily newspaper the Rocky Mountain News. He has lead his paper to its first two Pulitzer Prizes wins and numerous other awards for journalistic excellence. John oversees the editorial operations of the Rocky Mountain News and serves as its top executive and chief liaison with the Denver Newspaper Agency. The News, owned by the E.W. Scripps Co. Scripps, is an equal partner in the Denver Newspaper Agency, which was created by Scripps and MediaNews Group, owner of The Denver Post, to manage the merged business and production operations of the two newspapers.
