Big Bear Announces Two New Events

Big Bear Lake, Calif., July 6, 2004 — Big Bear Mountain Resorts (BBMR) isproud to announce two great events coming to Big Bear Lake, Californialocated in the San Bernardino Mountains near Los Angeles. Bear MountainResort (Bear Mountain) will host its first ever summer event dubbed “HotDawgz & Hand Rails on Saturday September 18, 2004.

“This event is FREE andopen to the public, anyone who is dreaming of snowboarding two months beforewinter will not want to miss this pre-season party, said Kim Hermon,Assistant Marketing Director for BBMR.

The event will feature, an incrediblyunique competition setup, two movie premiers, a bunch of hot dogs, tons ofsnow and some of the top snowboarders in the world battling it out for morethan $10,000 in cash prizes. The contest will take place at Bear Mountain intwo separate zones.

Zone-1 (Junk Zone) will be a “Junk Jam featuring twopieces of junk from the past two years’ Mack Dawg Productions Junkyard Jamphoto shoots. The Junk Zone will take place in the area typically known as”The Scene during winter operations.

Zone-2 (Urban Zone) will incorporatethe main staircase (a sixteen step cheese grater) leading from the parkinglot to the sun deck. The Urban Zone includes a downhill handrail (donkey)and a gap to downhill box. Many top professional riders will be invited tothe event and there will be a qualifier round in an effort to give some ofthe best up-in-coming riders a chance to make the finals.

“Hot Dawgz and Hand Rails will also feature the public premier of Mack DawgProductions new film Chulksmack. In addition, Bear Mountain will premier”The Park The Movie a new film showing off all the best action from the2003/2004 season.

The event is expected to kick off at Bear Mountain in the afternoonbeginning around 2:00 p.m. with the movie premiers following the competitionat dark. A large screen will be set up on the 13,000 square foot sun deck toshow the movie premiers. Several snowboard industry companies will beon-site showing off all of the latest gear and apparel for the coming 04/05winter season. There will be live music from DJ Lamont and others, a hugeweenie cookout and the Beach Bar will be open for those ages 21 and overonly.

BBMR is proud to announce “The Park — Wide Open #2 (Wide Open) set to takeplace February 12-18, 2005. This season’s Wide Open will feature The Park atBear Mountain, the only mountain resort in the country devoted almostentirely to a freestyle terrain parks and the youth market. In addition tobeing the most compelling photo and film shoot worthy park setup ever, theseven-day event will feature several fantastic events, parties and severalsurprises TBA. This season, Wide Open competitors can look forward to someserious cash prizes! “The first Wide Open was a success but we know we canmake the second episode even more impressive.
