Beaman And Bright Join Nixon Snow Team

Encinitas, Ca-June 24, 2003 Nixon proudly announces the addition of Hana Beaman and Torah Bright as the newest riders of the Nixon Snow Team.

Hana was unanimously voted onto the team by fellow Nixon teammates Tina Basich, Jeremy Jones, Dave Downing, JP Walker, Erik Leines, Todd Richards and Shannon Dunn. Tina Basich adds, “Hana is a talented snowboarder, we are proud to have her on our team.”

Hana has a style and flair that’s uniquely her own. With consistent top-3 placing in over 15 major events, including two 1st place finishes at the World Snowboarding Championships (Slopestyle, Big Air 2002), back-to-backUSASA National Championship wins (2000, 2001), as well as being the Winter X Games Silver Medalist (Slopestyle, 2003) and Transworld Snowboarding’s “Rookie of the Year” (2001) it’s no doubt that Hana would be an impressive addition to any team out there – we’re happy to welcome her aboard ours.

Torah’s solid riding caught the attention of Basich and Dunn and it came as no surprise that fellow teammates Jeremy Jones, Dave Downing, JP Walker, Erik Leines and Todd Richards put their support behind her and collectively voted her onto the team.

Torah has been a force to be reckoned with at home in Australia, and now at just 17 years old, this second-year pro is making a name for herself on a more global level. With several podium finishes over the past two seasons inmajor events around the world, including two first place finishes in The 2001 Planet X Games (Halfpipe, Big Air), The Mountain Do Shred Fest (1st Halfpipe) and The Whistler Open (1st Halfpipe), the world is eagerly watching to see what this young lady will do next.
