Active Ride Shop Signs Lease At Gotcha Glacier

San Juan Capistrano, California–The Glacier of Anaheim, LLC announcedtoday that Active Ride Shop has signed a lease for retail space in theGotcha Glacier action sports facility. The Glacier, Americaís firstindoor snowboard and surf park, is scheduled to open in 2002. Theproject is located directly adjacent to Edison International Field atSportstown in Anaheim, California.

The Glacier facility will house indoor snowboard and skateboard parks,an ice rink, the largest rock-climbing wall in North America and sixseparate Wave Loch Flowrider? surfing and bodyboarding waves. Thefacility will also feature retail stores, restaurants, a Bally TotalFitness center, childrenís snow play area, interactive arcades and more.

“We have filled 90% of our retail space,” said Brad Kinney, Glacier CEO.”Active Ride Shop is a critical piece as it caters to the core actionsports athletes.”

Active joins recently signed Sport Chalet and Bally Total Fitness in theGlacier’s expanding tenant list. Active Ride Shop is a leadingsnowboard and skate retailer in Southern California. With locations inChino, San Dimas, Rancho Cucamonga, Escondido, Temecula and Irvine, theCompany specializes in offering products and services to the Glacier’sprimary customer group.

Mammoth Mountain, California’s number-one mountain resort, will overseeall snow-related operations at the Gotcha Glacier. As Official SnowOperator, Mammoth will be responsible for snowmaking, grooming, terrainpark, ski and snowboard rentals, repairs, and lesson operations.

The Gotcha Glacier is the anchor tenant of the Sportstown developmentlocated in the parking lot of Edison International Field in Anaheim,California. The project is contained in Anaheim’s larger SportstownDistrict–an 805 acre region that includes The Glacier, EdisonInternational Field and the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim. Between thethree sporting venues, the District offers spectators and sportsenthusiasts the opportunity to watch or participate in 28 differentsports. When completed, the Sportstown District in Anaheim will be thelargest concentration of permanent sporting activities in the UnitedStates. The Sportstown District is located just two miles east ofDisneyland and The Anaheim Resort.
