Salt Lake's historic Tower Theater has been the host for Abstinthe's premeirs for a long, long time. It's a great venue.

As the heat broke and the rain fell in Salt Lake City on Saturday night, a tight knit crew of snowboarders cruised over to the Tower Theater in support of some of the guys they see at the skateparks, watering holes, and surrounding mountains all the time. It just so happens that those guys are some of the best snowboarders in the world, and every winter they work with an elite crew to come up with a snowboard movie that pushes the sport year after year.
After an introduction by Absinthe‘s Justin Hostynek, the new movie, Resonance, took to the screen and legitimately blew the minds of the audience. The international cast of Resonance crushed spots worldwide – from literally blocks away from the theater, to remote backcountry zones in the far reaches of the world. Loud screams were heard as locals Cale Zima and Bode Merill’s names flickered before their parts.

Bode Merrill always has a killer part, and this year is no exception. I guess if your pops is "Backcountry Bob" shredding's in your blood.

Keep your eyes peeled for the DVD which should be hitting your local shop any day now!
