2001 US Open Moves Over at Stratton

This year’s 19th Annual U.S. Open Snowboarding Championships, the mostprestigious event of the year, and a virtual who’s who in competitiveworld-class snowboarding, will be held at Stratton Mountain, VT, on March15-18, 2001.

Stratton Mountain has dedicated its SunBowl area to this year’s U.S. Openwhere the Boardercross course will run a mile long and the Superpipe willtake center stage. Spectator and competitors will also enjoy SunBowl’sthree-story lodge at the base of all the action.

Festivities kick off Friday night with the debut of the QuarterpipeInvitational featuring top pros going big under the lights. Saturday bringsthe U.S. Open’s legendary Halfpipe Competition, the greatest Halfpipecontest in the world. On Sunday riders will compete in the BoardercrossCompetition, and the best 12 and under riders take the stage at the JuniorHalfpipe Competition.
