Vans Hi-Standard Tour: Park City
For the first time since the beginning of its 2015 edition, the Vans Hi-Standard Snowboard Series crossed the US borders last Saturday 31st of January for the third stop of the Vans Hi-Standard tour at Park City, Utah. Riders were shredding with style in the beautiful snowpark of Park City Mountain resort, getting paid five dollars for each stylish trick landed properly on the jump section, for a total of $2000! With a clear blue sky and warm spring weather, it was no surprise that the maximum capacity of 90 riders for this third stop’s snowboard event was reached. Of all the Vans Hi-Standard events over the last couple years, this was probably the one with the highest level of skills and style, still with no rotations over 720 allowed. Since the park is located at the base of the mountain, it was a real show for everybody that was hanging out at the bottom of the hill. With a delicious waffle from the waffle maker machine in hand, spectators seemed to have as much fun watching the event as the riders themselves. Thanks to Park City Mountain crew for this great day and awesome snowboarding experience.
Stay tuned for the next stop of the Vans Hi-Standard Snow Series, Saturday February 7th at Waterville Valley resort, New Hampshire.
