Winter Storm Skylar is predicted to hit the East Coast Tuesday, March 13, with high winds and snowfall reminiscent of the “Bomb Cyclone” from earlier this winter. With over a foot of snow predicted, most weather outlets are focusing more on the dangerous wind gusts that will come with it. Winter Storm Warnings are in effect from Maine to as south as North Carolina.
Winter Storm Skylar already caused damage in central and eastern Kentucky where it dumped several inches of snow Monday morning. This tree fell on top of vehicles due to heavy snow and winds in Brodhead, Kentucky. The Northeast is bracing for its third nor’easter in 11 days, while some still struggle without electricity from Winter Storm Quinn early last week. 📸: Twitter/JordanBSmith11
