TELLURIDE, CO. January 22, 2010 – Over 1 foot of snow has blanketed the Telluride Ski Area in the past 18 hours, leaving 13 inches to greet enthusiastic skiers and boarders at the top of the ski area this morning.

Telluride and the San Juan Mountains are currently under a winter storm warning issued by the National Weather Service. Snow showers started Monday afternoon, with snow continuing throughout the week. This current storm cycle brought 13″ at top of mountain overnight. A 52-inch base was reported with powder conditions as of 7 a.m. Telluride can now boast one of the best snow bases in Colorado to date.
