Take A Ride To the Summit At Park City

Park City, Utah – Park City Mountain Resort (PCMR) opens skiing andriding to the “Summit” area on Thursday, Dec. 9, 1999, doubling theresort’s vertical drop currently available to skiers and snowboarders.With access to the Summit, guests at PCMR will have the opportunity toexperience two of the resort’s newest amenities – the Summit Demo Centerand the Summit Smoke House and Grill (formerly called the Summit House).

“The outside of the Summit Smoke House and Grill is pretty similar tothe old Summit House, but I guarantee, the interior will make our guestsstop and do double take,” said Vern Greco, president and general managerat PCMR.

This past summer, the Summit Smoke House and Grill underwent anextensive remodel, upgrading not only this restaurant’s dicor but themenu as well.

“The Summit Smoke House and Grill’s menu includes what I think I cansafely say is one of the best hamburgers in Park City,” said ToddDePriest, executive chef at PCMR. “People will also be really pleasedwith that restaurant’s blackened tuna sandwich.”

The Summit Demo Center is located adjacent to the Summit Smoke House andGrill at the top of the Bonanza chairlift. This facility features skiin/ski out high-performance demo rentals by industry-leader brandsVolkl, Rossignol, Dynastar, Volant and K2. The Summit Demo Center alsohouses one of the only Burton Snowboard Super Centers in the country.

“Doubling the vertical drop and daily additions to open terrain, coupledwith the lowest price of any Utah area offers a great early seasonopportunity for skiers and snowboarders,” Greco said.

With the Park City Mountain Rewards pass, a midweek full day lift ticketis $25, a weekend full day $29. In addition, with the Mountain Rewardspass the first day of skiing or riding is free on or prior to Dec. 17,1999.

Mountain Rewards pass holders also receive a 10 percent discount offPCMR’s food and beverage and equipment rental operations, and accumulatecredit toward additional free skiing and snowboarding privileges.
