Snoqualmie Pass, Wash. November 23, 2010 – The Summit West base area will open this Thursday, November 25th, 2010, for the first day of winter operations of the 2010-2011 winter season. Thanksgiving Day lift tickets will be offered at the discounted rate of $25.

35″ of snow in the past 72 hours, combined with last week’s storm system and a favorable forecast are allowing this earlier-than-average opening.

“We are thrilled to be kicking off the season a little earlier than usual,” said Dan Brewster, general manager for The Summit. “With more snow predicted this weekend, we’re excited to enjoy the first turns of the season with our guests and cannot wait to see what La Nina has up her sleeve.”

Summit West will operate from 9am-4pm Thursday through Sunday, closing Monday and Tuesday of next week before re-opening Wednesday, December 1st. For further operational announcements and weather conditions, visit
