SOS’s Million Person Ride April 7

Saturday, April 7, 2001, will mark the fourth annual “Million Person Ride,” hosted by the Snowboard Outreach Society. This is a fun opportunity to make a difference in just one run! The Million Person Ride is a chance for everyone who supports helping youth to show that riders can indeed make a difference. Here’s your chance to make history! Grab your board and become part of the World’s Largest Snowboard Posse. Skiers are welcome too!

“The Million Person Ride is a way for people who live in the mountains to stand and ride together to show kids that they are loved and supported. SOS asks that everyone consider coming out for one hour to make this the largest on-mountain gathering in support of kids!,” said Arn Menconi, SOS Founder and President.

The Snowboard Outreach Society (SOS) is a non-profit charity works with kids on character development and relationship building while providing positive attention, structure and consistency through adventure sports. SOS has introduced over 2000 youth to the sport over the last five years.

The Million Person Ride is absolutely free, but participants need a lift ticket or pass to gain access to the mountain. Riders should meet between the top of the gondola and the top of chair 26 at 1:00 p.m. Expect to participate in our Circle of Love and photo session. At approximately 1:30, the posse of community minded riders will be led down the mountain by Colorado Graduates of SOS’s Learn to Ride and University programs.
