Snow Buries Jackson Hole

Teton Village, Wyoming, December 9, 2004 – The remnants of a Pacific typhoon blasted Jackson Hole Mountain Resort yesterday dumping 32 inches of snow on the upper mountain. Snow fell for approximately 36 hours much to the delight of locals and visitors heading to the slopes.

As a result of this recent storm JHMR will open Casper Chairlift tomorrow and the Bridger Gondola on Sunday December 12. With these two additional lifts, JHMR will have 4/10 lifts, approximately 50% of its terrain and over 2800 vertical open. Current snow depths now read 47 inches at mid and upper levels.

More snow is forecast for the weekend and JHMR anticipates opening the remainder of the lifts and terrain as soon as snow conditions allow.
