When we started this Gear Guide we asked ourselves one thing: what are the top-of-line products this season? To answer that question, TransWorld SNOWboarding‘s editors looked through thousands of models from hundreds of brands in search of the top design tweaks and new innovations across boards, boots, bindings, and accessories that will give you a better ride.
Continuing our mission to bring you the best gear of the year, we also put together the results from our 16th annual Good Wood Board Test, covering the top 24 men’s and top 12 women’s all-mountain and park decks. To figure out which brands made the sickest snowboards this season, we took 18 male and female testers to Winter Park, Colorado where they spent eight days hammering on 400 boards and filling out score cards on each. The 36 winning boards are presented by riding type and price category, to help you find something for the terrain you want to ride at a price that works for you.
At 230 pages, this is our biggest issue of the year all designed to point you towards get the right gear that will let you get the most out of your winter. Pick up a copy at your local snowboard shop.
