SEVEN SPRINGS, Pa. – Seven Springs Mountain Resort will offer public access to the ultimate training zone this winter through a new collaboration with AcroBag, a tool designed to help athletes of all sports learn and refine new skills and tricks. The resort's Training Zone will be open to the public March 10-21, 2015, providing the rare opportunity for skiers and riders to train on a jump, as well as both walls of the Olympic-sized Superpipe into the airbag.
"This will mark the first time Seven Springs has created a Training Zone that the public will have access to," said Joel Rerko, Director of Winter Operations at Seven Springs. "Our collaboration with AcroBag will provide those who participate with the opportunity to learn new tricks in a controlled environment and take their skills to the next level."
Seven Springs is home to the only 22-foot Olympic Superpipe on the East Coast, and recently hosted one of the stops of the 2015 U.S. Snowboarding Revolution Tour. The Training Zone will provide athletes and teams preparing for the upcoming USASA Nationals the chance to dial in their tricks prior to competition, and will give the general public the opportunity to train on both jump and pipe features into the AcroBags for the first time ever at the resort.
Tickets will be sold by AcroBag for $5 for one hit, $14 for three and $35 for all-day access. A lift ticket or Seven Springs season pass is also required. Participants must be age 18+ or have parent consent prior to using the AcroBag.
• March 11-14 – Acrobag open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
• March 15-16 – The Acrobag will be closed to transition to the left pipe wall
• March 17-18 – Acrobag open on left pipe wall from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
