Salomon Snowboards Unveils Shadowfit Binding Technology

Portland, Or (January 19, 2012): Salomon Snowboards continues to rethink innovation with the new ShadowFit Technology — making you forget that your bindings are there, with a better feel on your board, a more natural movement while riding and a truckload of tweak.

Featuring a flexible heel loop for enhanced natural fit and flex with boot, Kevlar Quickwire for optimal strength, support and transmission, and a baseplate engineered for weight reduction and better board flex under foot. The result — a fully anatomical fit with unrivaled response and tweakability, in one ultra-light and comfortable package that allows your whole kit to flex as one.

The heel loop adapts to the shape of my boot — instead of being stiff, it forms to my movements but still provides good support. It allows me to control my board in a way that my old bindings couldn't. I think most snowboarders are going to really like this binding. – Louis-Felix Paradis, Salomon team rider

ShadowFit Technology is featured on two models — The District – a jib-friendly binding with skate-style influence, and the Hologram – a park and pipe ruler with ground control that is built to fly. MSRP – $229, MSRP – $269

Louif Paradis filmed his entire X Games Real Snow part on the District. You can watch his edit and vote for him here –
