February 27th, 2018 – Born in the foothills of the Austrian Alps, The Rome Lodge has since grown into a global phenomenon. Entering its fifth year, The Rome Lodge is our alternative to traditional tradeshows. Sure, we can talk about snowboards all day long but wouldn't you rather just go ride them?

New for 2018, we decided to bring a new version of The Rome Lodge to North America, more specifically to RED Mountain Resort in
beautiful Rossland, B.C. Over the course of eight days we had the pleasure hanging, talking product, partying and most importantly
boarding with 16 different North American shops on the virtually limitless terrain of Red.

For us, snowboarding has always been so much more than an activity. It's a way of life that drives and informs so many aspects of our
annual migrations, savings and thought patterns. The Rome Lodge is a physical manifestation of that idea: snowboarding above all
else. Sure, we might drink a thousand beers at night with the shop guys, but we're still getting up for coffee and first chair no matter
the headache. Riding, talking shop, family style cooking and limitless good times are what The Rome Lodge all about. Add in some of
the finest retailers in the game plus a world class resort and you've got guaranteed good times.

As the first stop on the 'BC Powder Highway' RED Mountain Resort is sleeper cell of a mountain with some absolutely insane terrain
and a laidback attitude that really makes you want to send it. With a seemingly endless supply of sidehits, easily accessible side
country hikes and some of the dreamiest tree runs in the world, Red is truly a snowboarder's paradise. Maybe it was the company,
maybe it was the mountain, but something there is something undeniable sendy about Red. Maybe it's the new Ravine and the way it
feasts on deep snow and endless sets of sidehits but at the end of the day, no matter what it is, boarder's gonna board.

At Rome SDS we believe shops are where snowboarding lives. We believe snowboarding is way more fun than tradeshowing. We
believe pow days are way more fun with friends. Combine it all and you've got The Rome Lodge.

Cheers and thank you to all the retailers, reps and locals who made The Rome Lodge Canada possible. Endless thanks to Red Resort
for hosting us and being one of the sendiest places on earth.

Cheers to snowboarding, long may she live!
