The Remarkables is a ski field of New Zealand legend. This mountain offers up terrain for any rider lucky enough to find him or herself here. Remarkables is located just an incredibly scenic 45 minute drive outside of Queenstown. The top elevation is 6,374 feet above sea level; the base sits at 5,315 feet equaling 1,015 vertical feet of lift-serviced terrain. There are three quad chairs to get you up the mountain. In an average season Remarkables is open from late June until mid October.

One third of the terrain at Remarkables is listed as advanced. There are lots of freeriding options to be had there. The lifts get you to the bottom of several easy hikes that will get you perched atop chutes and lines to ride all day. Lots of cliff drops and windlips to slash too, giving you a freeride smorgas board. Not to be overlooked is the park at Remarkables. It is laid out well giving riders a long run with plenty of hits top to bottom. The jumps are small to medium sized and the jibs are creative and maintained well.

With a solid park and plenty of freeriding Remarkables is a sure bet on any day regardless of snow conditions.
