Hailing from the land of strip clubs, cigarettes and energy efficiency, Portland Oregon—Portals were conceived in the summer of 2005 by guitarist Eric Olson (Le Force). First to enlist was Andy Forgash on guitar. You may remember Andrew from such shred flicks as Love/Hate and Burning Bridges, or maybe you remember him spraying you in the face with snow during the 2006 Good Wood Board Test, I don’t know. Shortly after the Gash signed on, the drums of war were being played by handsome man, Chris Coyle. And the lineup of doom was complete with the addition of Bobcat Patterson on bass.

Portals will be playing this Saturday June 10th, with Red Fang at the Zombie Lounge in San Diego. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. Come only if you want to hear what “Ten thousand men on horseback riding into battle” sounds like. Or just come if you like stiff drinks and metal.

June 10, Zombie Lounge, 8:00 pm
