Park City Mountain Resort Announces the Appointment Of Two New Directors

Park City, Utah--Park City Mountain Resort today announced the promotion of two employees. Kenny Lentz has been named to the position of Director of Information Technology (IT) and Jim Mangan has been appointed the Director of Action Sports Marketing. These appointments will expand their roles to allow Powdr’s other resorts the opportunity to utilize the expertise and industry contacts that both Lentz and Mangan possess. These resorts include Mt. Bachelor in Oregon, Alpine Meadows, Boreal and Soda Springs in California and Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort in Nevada.

“Both Kenny and Jim are proven leaders within their respected areas of expertise, said Peter Curtis, president and general manager of Park City Mountain Resort. “They will both play vital roles in the continued success and innovation of not only Park City Mountain Resort but also the other Powdr resorts.

Lentz joined the Park City Mountain Resort in October 1999, just as Park City Mountain Resort was gearing up for the 2002 Winter Games. He played an integral role in implementing new technologies and infrastructure at Park City Mountain Resort, including RTP (Enterprise Resort Management Software Suite), automated ticketing kiosks and Fast Tracks (RFID access control). These implementations have enabled the Resort to operate more efficiently and provide a higher level of customer service. Over the past several seasons he has also played a significant role implementing these systems and infrastructure at all of Powdr’s resorts. In his new position, Lentz will be responsible for administration and maintenance of centrally deployed applications and enterprise infrastructure for Park City Mountain Resort and Powdr’s other resorts.

Mangan has an extensive background in the action sports industry. He joined the Park City Mountain Resort team shortly after the Resort successfully hosted the snowboard events during the 2002 Winter Games. He is credited for successfully executing a terrain parks and pipes program, creating the Park City All-Stars pro team, and spearheading the marketing efforts within these initiatives at Park City Mountain Resort. His work has brought the Resort top honors from the industry’s leading magazines including back to back Terrain Park of the Year Awards from TransWorld Snowboarding. Mangan will utilize his strong relationships within, and knowledge of, the industry to help facilitate similar programs at Powdr’s other resorts.

Park City Mountain Resort encompasses 3,300 acres, 3,100 vertical feet, nine bowls and eight peaks offering Signature groomed runs, bumps, powder, trees, terrain parks and the Eagle Superpipe, North America’s largest superpipe.
