NEWRY, Maine, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ — Skiers and snowboarders often citecost as a deciding factor in how often they visit the mountains. While thesports are actually less expensive than many popular vacation activitiesAmericans take for granted, American Skiing Company (NYSE: SKI) — the largestoperator of ski and snowboard resorts in the nation — is doing its part tokeep prices down.

The company has just unveiled its new mETICKET — a pre-purchased,multi-day ticket deal which allows guests to customize the price they payaccording to the way they ski or ride. mETICKETs are honored every day of theseason, at all nine American Skiing Company resorts.

For a limited time only, adults can purchase three to five days for $45per day; six to eight days for $42 per day, nine to eleven days for $39 perday, and twelve to fourteen days for $38 per day. Depending on which resortsguests visit and when, the savings can add up to $18 per day. Juniors(ages 6 – 12) and Seniors (ages 65 and over) can ski or ride for as little as$23 per day.

There’s no reason to worry about buying too many days. Cards may be usedonly once per day until March 21, 2000. After that date, card holders mayredeem as many remaining days on their mETICKET card desired — even treatfriends to a day on the slopes. And if guests run short of days, additionaldays are available for $46 per day for adults, $29 per day for juniors.
