Money ‘N Tha Bank Rail Jam At Mount Baldy

Snowboarders & Freeskiers will jib-n-huck themselves to win cash purse and more in sponsored prizes.
Mount Baldy, March 13 2010-The historical Mt.Baldy mountain ski resort mainly known for it’s steep technical terrain and natural open bowl riding will continue to host the location for the Money N Tha Bank for the fourth year in a row. This unique grassroots all out huck festival has locally become known as the “Best Underground Jib Contest” available to snowboarders and freeskiers in Southern California.

The original goal for the Money N Tha Bank event four years ago was to bring back the soul and spirit of both these snow sports (snowboard & ski) back to the unknown riders and the smaller underground resorts who never get the chance to showcase their terrain and local talent for an opportunity to make a name for them selves. Things still haven’t changed, the main purpose of the event is to have fun and give back to the local community of riders. Last years winner Mike Brokeoff took home $1000 cash and a slew of prizes. The event is open to all ages, from amateur to professional athletes, male vs. female in an all out open jib-jam session. The event format will be judged on Best Male rider, Best Female rider, Best Skier, Best Grom, Best Overall Trick.

Running the event creation, course design, course construction, sponsorships and all media marketing for the fourth straight year for this infamous rail jib-jam are professional action sports photographer/local snowboarder/rock climber Nick Ciotti and partner in crime photo-journalist/local snowboarder LaFonzo “Snowdogg” Carter, also owner of Thug Crew Snowboarding together bring over 30 years experience in the snow industry to provide this event with the Mt.Baldy management.

To further encourage the event, numerous sponsors have joined a helping hand with sponsored gifts added to the growing cash purse and prize tally. Currently, the list of sponsors contributing are Mt.Baldy Resort, S4 Optical, Ellis Snowboards, Thug Crew Snowboarding, Anenberg Clothing, Explosive Industries, Budweiser, Couch Boy, Facelift Concepts, Monster Energy, Tyrant Snowboards, Freedom Clothing, Bad Boarders, Villany, Utility Boardshop Fly-Trap’z, Karsak Bag’z, S&S Ride Shop, Neff Headwear, and Exclusive Energy.

Plus, there will be a mid-day BBQ for all, Hip-Hop artist/music, and an After-Party will be held at the Mt. Baldy Lodge located in the small mountain community of Mt. Baldy when the event is over. Everyone is welcome to attend. All inquiries please contact:
